Zend Amf w/ RemoteObject video

September 14th, 2008

updated features
RemoteObject now works with AS3 connections to Zend_Amf enabling Flex to take full advantage of the Zend Framework. Check out the video to see a simple example. I have to get back to work on additional features and possibly even my presentation!

I’ve been waiting for Zend_Amf since the time of its proposal. I’m happy to see it finally. I’m looking forward for a chance to give you a hand on testing it :)

    Great job man. Cheers.

    Hi Wade,

first of all, I’d like to salute your contribution for ZF community. I walkthroug the video with the latest revision fetched from the SVN incubator and dashed against the following error message:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘Unable to parse body data exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘RemoteClass Typed object not implmented: flex.messaging.messages.CommandMessage’ in /home/tero/test/Amf/Parse/Amf3/Deserializer.php:279

The same exception was thrown on both, Windows and Linux environment with Apache webserver. The headers are sent as x-amf but I was able to catch the message with Charles web proxy debugger.

    Hey Wade.

I update amf files from incubator and I’m still fighting with “Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.BadVersion: : url: ‘http://localhost/npo/public’”, same hello world app made with amfphp works for me :)

I don’t want to trash your blog with posts like that, so if you know any place where i can ask questions would be awesome … i was searching but i couldn’t find any forum or other sort of help … probably cause whole zend amf is a still fresh stuff.

    cheers

@rafal please open an issue in the Zend Framework tracker!

    http://framework.zend.com/issues/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?mode=show&createNew=true

And set it as an zend_Amf component.

No fair! You had a nicer room than I did. You own lounge chair AND a desk? Geez. Who do they think you are? A super star? 0.o
They clearly didn’t know who they were dealing with … clearly. ^_^

ha. What’s up mate! I realized something; I never got your business card. Good thing I found your site. :D
    cheers!

    Hi Wade,

Great stuff! Unfortunately, the screen cast link you left gives a 404 error.
